Should doctors and physicians who don’t follow the “get vaccinated” narrative be punished, even lose their licenses, for spreading what the left calls “misinformation?” That seems to be the latest leading trend among health care professionals. The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) recommended that states consider doling out penalties to those who would share false medical claims. According to the group’s website:
“Physicians who generate and spread COVID-19 vaccine misinformation or disinformation are risking disciplinary action by state medical boards, including the suspension or revocation of their medical license.”
“When a doctor speaks, people pay attention,” Dr. Humayun Chaudhry, president of FSMB, explained. “The title of being a physician lends credibility to what people say to the general public. That’s why it is so important that these doctors don’t spread misinformation.” However, to advocates against wearing masks or getting vaccinated, the question is: Which doctors are right?
The world is full of contradictions and people have different opinions on everything. We are told to “trust the science,” but only if that science is being presented by the left’s narrative. To make a logical decision, researching the pros and cons from different sources is imperative. Oftentimes, when someone is diagnosed with a serious illness, he/she will seek out a second, or even third opinion. The FSMB’s website stressed the influence doctors have on the public:
“Due to their specialized knowledge and training, licensed physicians possess a high degree of public trust and therefore have a powerful platform in society, whether they recognize it or not. They also have an ethical and professional responsibility to practice medicine in the best interests of their patients and must share information that is factual, scientifically grounded and consensus-driven for the betterment of public health. Spreading inaccurate COVID-19 vaccine information contradicts that responsibility, threatens to further erode public trust in the medical profession and puts all patients at risk.”
The option to research different medical opinions is now being censored in the name of COVID consensus, and doctors who do not conform to the left’s preferred scientific findings are in danger of losing their credentials. In December, a doctor in Oregon was suspended because he refused to wear a mask or require his patients to wear face coverings. The doctor has been removed from practicing until the governor lifts the pandemic state of emergency.
Indiana physician Dr. Daniel Stock is gaining a negative following for his adamant stance against vaccinations. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1988 and has over 30 years in practice. Dr. Stock has worked in urgent care centers, several hospitals, and private practices. The message on his website is that his practice is less conventional. “By presenting patients with all of their treatment options – whether that’s a pill, lifestyle change, therapy, or supplements – I help patients choose the option that works best for them,” his site explains. “This results in permanent healing, not merely the temporary relief found in the traditional system.”
During a meeting of the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation board in Fortville, the doctor addressed the audience: “Everything being recommended by the CDC is actually contrary to the rules of science.” Dr. Stock is hardly the only dissenting voice against the CDC and WHO guidelines regarding COVID. America’s Frontline Doctors, for example, have held several press conferences describing their experience treating COVID patients. Many of those recordings have been removed or banned from social media.
Liberty Nation Editor-at-Large James Fite wrote about how the leftist narrative is shaping every aspect of America. He explained:
“Spinning anything that goes against the leftist narrative as a public health threat is a dangerous but clever tactic, and this isn’t the first time Democrats have used it. Just look at Biden’s ‘Plan to End Our Gun Violence Epidemic.’”
Not all doctors specialize in the same medicine and not all have the identical opinion on the best treatments for patients. People choose their health care providers for several reasons, which include the physician’s medical practices and beliefs. Some prefer the more modern practices while others resist such methods and prefer natural healing through vitamins and supplements. Cancer patients, for example, may face radiation and chemotherapy, or they can opt for a more holistic approach.
But, if doctors are threatened with the loss of medical licenses for refusing to conform to the left’s expert opinions, then where does that leave the future of medicine and your rights to choose the best health approach for your needs? Forewarned is forearmed; however, being forewarned means having access to the knowledge and research from all sides of the puzzle.
